This practical CPD session with Ginny Oakley-Pope is designed to help RDA coaches and groups prepare effectively for showing competitions. Whether competing in RDA Performance Showing or other classes, preparation is key to feeling confident and ensuring the best turnout for both horse and rider. This workshop will provide guidance on turnout, tack care, grooming, presentation, and ringcraft, ensuring that both equines and participants are ready for competition day.

Learning Outcomes: By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

• Plan and prepare for showing competitions, ensuring correct equipment fit and turnout.
• Maintain grooming, tack, and stable management for a polished appearance.
• Recognise correct rider attire and tack for RDA Performance Showing.
• Understand show ring etiquette and practice show routines.
• Build confidence and encourage positive competition experiences.
