RDA Volunteer Training – Long Reining
 
Thursday 3rd October 10am to 12pm
 
What will be covered?
🐴Tack and equipment needed (attendees will need appropriate PPE)
🐴Tacking up the horse for long reining
🐴Demo of long reining
🐴Walking/driving position to include basic commands, transitions, circles, turns and chance to “have a go”
 
Long Reining is a method of exercising and training your horse from the ground. It involves standing behind the horse using two long lunge lines to steer and communicate your commands.
