MID-WEST TRAINING DAY – MONDAY 13TH MARCH 2023

AVON RDA –  KINGS WESTON ROAD, HENBURY, BRISTOL, BS10 7QT

 

Registration 09:30 for prompt 10:00 start – expected finish approx.15:00.

Bring your own lunch – Tea, coffee, biscuits/cake will be provided

 

The day has been split into AM and PM and you are welcome to attend either or or both:

£5.00 per session (am or pm)

£7.50 for both (am and pm)

This day is aimed at Coaches of all Levels, Volunteers, and Trustees would be very welcome, and no doubt would find the afternoon session very informative.

 

 

Programme for the Day

AM     Poles – Ideas and Thoughts

  • Lesson planning with Poles (some ideas for using poles on the ground for interesting regular lesson plans)
  • Showjumping (a guide to all things jumping from poles on the ground to grids and ‘have a go ideas’ – this will not include level 2 SJ and above)

LUNCH          A CHANCE TO CHAT WITH OTHERS AND DISCUSS IDEAS ETC

PM     Social Licencing Talk + Workshop

  • What is Social Licensing? The Social License to Operate (SLO) is a virtual license from society to engage in an activity.
  • Why does RDA need a SLO? To ensure we are still operating in the future! Equestrian activities are increasingly being called into question and all of us have a responsibility to help educate the public and maintain the acceptance of how we use horses.
  • How do we do this? What can we all do that will make a difference, and what should we include and not include on social media?

There is a strict limit on numbers attending this course of 25. We will repeat the course soon, at a date to be confirmed, at Wilton RDA, Pembroke Centre, Wilton SP2 8PJ
