Engaging in training outside of RDA is valuable for learning across the wider sector. We encourage this as a way of sharing best practices and for networking opportunities.

Event Details

Each June, Volunteers’ Week offers an opportunity to celebrate volunteers. But how can we show our appreciation to volunteers all year round?

This webinar will explore what research tells us about volunteer motivation and satisfaction. You’ll learn how to put these insights into practice.

We’ll hear from NCVO staff, partners and member organisations who’ll share:

  • tips on how to show gratitude to volunteers
  • practical ideas to better understand what your volunteers really want.

We’ll then look to the future and imagine together what volunteer recognition should look like in ten years’ time.

By the end of the event you’ll

01 Understand how good volunteering practice contributes to volunteer satisfaction, inclusion and retention

02 Understand how communicating impact can motivate volunteers

03 Learn how to engage your volunteers to better understand their wants and needs.
