This is a seven week online training course via Zoom starting on Tuesday 15th October at 7pm.

The course is interactive and includes discussion in breakout rooms, quizzes, PowerPoint, videos, networking opportunities with other Coaches in Training and a small amount of homework. The course content is;

  1. Welcome and Introductions, Aims and Outcomes, Specific Roles and Responsibilities of a RDA coach, Creating a Positive Learning Environment
  2. Effective Coaching-What Makes an Effective Coach? Learning Preferences and How We Learn, Learner Centred v Coach Centred Coaching
  3. Effective Coaching-Coaching Styles and Coaching Theory, Questioning, Listening and Rapport
  4. Goal Setting, SMART targets, Timelines, TATTS and linked session plans
  5. Why introduce pole work? Level 1 Showjumping
  6. Practical observation and evidence taking, the Coaching Criteria
  7. Practical observation and evidence taking, the Assessment process, What Happens Next? Personal Development Plan
