Proficiency Test Zoom training for those coaching or assessing Bronze, Silver and Gold

Date: 28/02/23 (Tuesday)
Time: 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Details:

For Coaches/Group Coaches/Coaches in Training/Activity Leaders who want to coach or assess Proficiency Tests at Bronze, Silver and Gold (Riding/Horse Care)

Proficiency Tests are a great way to motivate and reward participants and help coaches to set SMART goals with their participants. The certificates and badges are a valuable way to show progression and the value of sessions to parents/carers and schools. Badges and certificates are free to order from the Group orders website.

This zoom session will give you a clear idea of how to deliver and assess RDA Proficiency Tests Bronze, Silver and Gold. It is aimed at RDA Coaches and above, although Group Coaches and Activity Leaders are welcome to attend for information.

Bronze should be assessed by an RDA Coach from another Group.
Silver should be assessed by an Advanced Coach or RDA Coach with additional external equestrian qualifications, see table on Education page.
Gold should be assessed by an Advanced Coach or an external assessor, see the table. These will be appointed by RDA National.

ALL assessors for Bronze, Silver and Gold should attend training before taking on the role as the format has changed. This can be online or face-to-face. I can provide Regional/County Coaches with the notes if they would prefer to deliver training locally face to face.

This training will cover the requirements of the levels, ideas for activities and methods of assessing, as well as ways to adapt the syllabus for different needs. There will also be a chance to share ideas in breakout rooms.

Separate sessions will be held for Bronze/Silver/Gold for participants at this level if there is demand.

These will be repeated in April in the evening.
