RDA Volunteer Training – All Volunteer Modules covered

Thursday 23rd January 10am to 3pm.

10:00am to 11:0am – Preparing the horse and the arena includes;
  • tacking up and equipment used in RDA sessions
  • Setting up the arena and risk assessing the environment 

11:00am – break (tea and coffee and biscuits)

11:30am to 1:00pm – Leading & Side Walking;

  • Pre mounted warm up
  • Stages of leading 
  • Side walking with 1 and 2 

1:00pm – LUNCH break (food not included please bring lunch with you)

1:30pm – 3:00pm – Mounting and Dismounting 

  • Positioning, roles, variations and safety 

Delivered by an experienced RDA Group coach and RDA staff. 

Please come dressed in appropriate clothes for being outside, suitable footwear (hats and gloves strongly are advised!)

FREE to attend for all RDA volunteers and coaches – limited to 20 spaces.
