A National SJ Training Day, run by Jane Hemmingway and Claire Pope. Below is an outline for the day, this may be subject to change to to rider availability etc.

10:00 Arrival and registration – with tea and coffee

10:15: Welcome by Jane and Claire

10.20: Classroom session

• Navigate around RDA SJ website
• Update on course plan changes
• New rules
• Judges and coaches’ observation of riders taking part in SJ classes
• Rider SJ proficiency tests
• Coach assessment and reviews

 12.00 Lunch

 12.45 Practical Standard-Setting Session

• Simulated Level 1, 2, 3 and 4 Showjumping sessions will be observed, allowing Coaches to discuss the content of each level (Potential new coaches will have the opportunity to participate)
• Horse suitability (Introducing the canter)

 15.30 Q and A’s

Please come dressed both for the classroom and to be on the sand with riders if you would like to be. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided.
