Trustee Learning Series (Mental Health Awareness Week) Wellbeing in Your RDA Group: Supporting Volunteers and Sustainable Leadership
The wellbeing of volunteers and participants is a key part of running a successful RDA group, but it can also bring challenges for those leading and supporting others.
This session will introduce a practical and accessible approach to understanding mental health and we’ll explore the realities of leading volunteers, including managing pressures, supporting others, and maintaining your own wellbeing.
The session will also cover simple, practical strategies to help you build resilience, set boundaries, and create a supportive and psychologically safe environment within your group.
You’ll come away with practical tools and ideas to support both your own wellbeing and that of your volunteers, helping to create a more sustainable and supportive environment for everyone involved.
Delivered by PMAC PMAC supports organisations to take a practical, proactive approach to mental health and wellbeing. Through their training, they help individuals better understand what influences mental health, recognise early signs of stress, and develop simple strategies to support themselves and others. Their focus is on making mental health support accessible, relevant, and easy to apply in practice.
