Many RDA Groups accept volunteers from 12 years of age and there’s lots on offer for younger volunteers.
Duke of Edinburgh Award
RDA is an approved activity provider of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and volunteering can help towards the award at all levels, including the residential section as part of our national holiday programmes for Gold Award Participants.
Young Equestrian Leaders Award
For members of The Pony Club, volunteering can count towards the RDA Pony Club Achievement Badge.
The Pony Club also offers the Young Equestrian Leaders Award (YELA), which is a national award recognising and rewarding young people volunteering in equestrianism. This award is for volunteers 13-25 at British Equestrian Federation member Bodies and hours spent volunteer at RDA can count towards the award.
